Terminal Manager
Job Description
For one of our clients in the Middle East, we are looking for a terminal manager capable of daily managing the operations and maintenance of a diverse liquid bulk terminal within a rapidly progressing company. The liquid bulk Terminal Manager is charged with the operations, development, implementation and maintenance of all safety and operational aspects of the assigned terminal, to include the daily operations of a liquid bulk jetty. The terminal management position requires a capable and dedicated leader able to analyze and direct the changing dynamics of a 24/7 import and export terminal. The Terminal Manager's responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to the following:
Daily management of terminal operations
Development of goals, objectives and procedures to improve terminal operations.
Provide service at or above the level expected by our customers.
Active recruitment of new staff
Evaluating and assigning of available drivers and equipment to handle current orders.
Ensures coordination of equipment repairs, maintenance and tank wash through appropriate terminal personnel or outside vendor.
Promotes safe performance, regulatory compliance and adheres to current polices and procedures through all phases of transport service.
Ensures that all required reporting and documents are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
Monitors and ensures accuracy of billing and driver pay.
Resolves any scheduling, maintenance, administrative and non-conformance issues.
Demands
The process requires the ability to work closely with groups of people, including company employees at all levels, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors.
The position requires integration of negotiation skills, analysis of problems and the ability to understand, translate and communicate the company goals into appropriate actions.
The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy and the ability to excel in an electronic communication environment is essential.
A working knowledge of contract compliance and regulatory compliance requirements is necessary.
A commitment to comply with and support safety standards, as well as, all regulatory and company policies and procedures is imperative.
Experience related to cryogene storage and handling is necessary.
