Electrical Commissioning Engineer
We are looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer.
As Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be overseeing and carrying out the installation and commissioning and troubleshooting of gas - driven Turbo Generators, LV/MV/HV switchgear, control systems (similar to programmable logic controls PLCs) and associated plant (networking and comms kit etc). Key skills involved are electrical, mechanical and controls engineering. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the commissioning, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of power generators or similar equipment.
Key skills and competences:
In depth knowledge of electrical power generation and distribution systems.
Ability to undertake assignments involving generators and PRISMIC systems.
Ability to carry out commissioning and performance/acceptance testing of large electrical equipment.
Experience in fault diagnosis and rectification of control and protection equipment.
In depth product knowledge of all makes of machines and extensive site experience.
Extensive experience of safe systems of work in relation to high voltage electrical systems, all other aspects of site safety and maintaining site safety.
Ability to carry out electrical testing on high and low voltage windings in the field.
Ability to interpret specifications and technical requirements.
